Is Fear Terrorizing You?
As I began to remember this morning, the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and said, “There is a SPIRITUAL TERRORIST who is much more dangerous than the attacks in 2001, who is running rampant in the earth today shattering lives, killing people/hopes/dreams, and destroying families without even being noticed! No-one is even aware of his presence or handiwork. He must be stopped… and I am talking about none other than “your adversary the devil, who is like a roaring lion seeking to devour someone (1 Peter 5:8-9)!”
His words pierced my heart, and I knew exactly what he meant. With the CORONA VIRUS outbreak last year in 2020, FEAR has overtaken many souls and holding them CAPTIVE! Fear, worry, stress, anxiety, and depression are now the #1 health issue, not obesity. Luke 21:26 refers to men’s hearts failing them for fear. Fear is a real killer. If it doesn’t actually take your life, it can physically, mentally, or emotionally paralyze you for life. So yes… Fear IS a BIG issue!
The word Corona means the upper portion or “crown” part, as of the head. Jesus is supposed to be the head and we are His body, if we have accepted Him as Lord and Savior of our lives. Is He, the Prince of PEACE, actually ruling and reigning in our lives, or is CORONA “crowned King” and ruling our world? If you have Peace, then JESUS is in charge of your life and taking care of everything that concerns you (Psalm 138:8)! You have FAITH in Him and Trust Him to do so, to keep His Word. If you are living in FEAR, then the DEVIL is ruling and ruining your life!

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

And that they may come to their senses and escape out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
We see who wants to destroy our lives and who wants to biggie-size our lives…. Jesus Saves, the Devil Steals and Kills!
2 Timothy 1:7 AMPC
For GOD did not give us a SPIRIT of FEAR (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.
Notice the word “spirit of fear,” it IS a spirit, not just a feeling or an emotion. So if a “spirit of Fear” is NOT from GOD… who is it from? The DEVIL! Who is behind the scenes planning and releasing his strategies? The Devil!
God is GoOd – He always adds something to your life. He adds and multiplies your life.
The Devil is (d)Evil – He always takes away something from your life. He subtracts and divides your life!
Ephesians 6:10-17 AMPC
12 For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 AMP
3 For though we walk in the flesh [as mortal men], we are not carrying on our [spiritual] warfare according to the flesh and using the weapons of man. 4 The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. 5 We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ.
The Bible tells us that our real enemy is UNSEEN in the SPIRIT realm. We are not fighting people, white/black, Democrat/Republican, male/female, Jew/Gentile, etc. They may be the physical matter standing in front of us, but there is a “driving force” behind it. It takes Spirit to fight spirit! Start looking with your Spirit-eyes to really see what is happening in our world and in your individual lives. We must go to the heart of the matter, not just keep trying to put a Band-Aid on it and expect it to get better.
We are created Spirit, Soul, and Body. Our Spirit must stand up and fight these evil spirits with the Word of God, because spirit-power is Word-power! (more on this later…) For now, begin to recognize fear, worry, anxiety, stress, and depression. Do NOT give them any room in your life… in your THOUGHT-life! Do NOT open the door and entertain them when they knock! If you are a Christian you know Jesus, the Prince of Peace, lives inside you on the throne of your heart as your King of Hearts in His kingdom (Luke 17:21). Let King Jesus answer the door and see what Fear, Anxiety, or Corona virus has to say then! Choose PEACE. If your heart and mind is not at peace and rest… then your mind has wandered off of your Prince of Peace! Fix your heart and mind on Him and you have no troubles, no worries! Take control of your life back by taking control of your thoughts and emotions. Have discernment and recognize the spirits behind those thoughts and emotions and put them in their place… out of your house!
Isaiah 26:3
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusts in Thee.
